Healthcare Outreach Reaches 500 Families

Access to healthcare remains one of the biggest challenges facing rural communities in Uganda. Many families live hours away from the nearest clinic, making it nearly impossible to receive regular medical care. Our mobile health outreach program is changing that reality.

Bringing Healthcare to the Community

This quarter, our mobile health clinic visited 12 different villages, providing essential medical services to over 500 families. Our team of healthcare professionals offered:

  • General Health Screenings: Blood pressure, diabetes, and malaria testing
  • Maternal Health Services: Prenatal checkups and family planning education
  • Child Immunizations: Ensuring children receive vital vaccinations
  • Health Education: Teaching families about nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention

Stories of Impact

During our visit to Namayumba village, we met Grace, a mother of four who had been suffering from untreated hypertension. Thanks to our screening program, she was diagnosed and connected with ongoing care. "I didn't know what was wrong with me," Grace shared. "Now I have medicine and I feel so much better."

The Road Ahead

While we've made significant progress, there is still much work to be done. We're working to expand our mobile clinic's reach and increase the frequency of our visits. With your continued support, we can ensure that no family is left without access to essential healthcare.
